About Ariel

Ariel Weinman, from Brighton, IL, has been involved with horses from a young age. As a young girl, she took riding lessons from area stables and jumped at any chance to pet or ride a horse. As Ariel grew up and played basketball and volleyball in high school, her love for horses never diminished. She developed a passion for barrel racing and rodeo. She IMG_6637entered her first high school rodeo in 2006 and was a member of the Illinois High School Rodeo Association through her senior year of high school. Ariel was also involved in 4-H and is now a volunteer 4-H club leader for the Lucky Horseshoes 4-H Club. Ariel is still active in the equine industry and is still competing in barrel races around the Mid West. She was a 2011 National Barrel Horse Association Youth World qualifier and a 2012 NBHA Open World Qualifier.

She spent 2015 traveling the country as Miss Rodeo Illinois 2015. Miss Rodeo Illinois an ambassador for the sport of professional rodeo, the western way of life and the state of Illinois. Ariel also wanted to use her title of Miss Rodeo Illinois to help spread awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Ariel graduated from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville with her Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Communications –Public Relations in May 2014. She is also a graduate of Lewis and Clark Community College, where she started her college experience. Ariel worked with the World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales for a year and a half. She is now working at FamilyFarms Group as a Marketing Specialist.
